Following the recent inspection by Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS), OFSTED has made its long-anticipated inspection at the end of March 2017. At the last inspection in 2012, Newnham St Peter’s was rated “Good” and the school and its governors are to be congratulated that this has been maintained.
In a letter to Headteacher, Clair Cook, the inspector said, “The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. Through skilful delegation, and clear lines of responsibility, you lead and manage the school well. Your tight-knit team works very closely together but staff are never afraid to challenge each other to ensure that pupils receive the best possible education. You are exceptionally well supported by your very knowledgeable chair of governors and members of the governing body.”
Head teacher of the school Claire Cook stated, “although the letter is addressed to me as the Headteacher, everything we do at Newnham St Peter’s School is very much a team effort and I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our amazing staff who make the school the special place it is.”
